Thala Ajith starrer Thunivu & Thalapathy Vijay starrer Varisu released on the same day and rocked the box office. Both the films have taken a bumper start at the box office in their home state, however, it is Ajith’s Thunivu that has edged past Vijay’s Varisu on day 1.
Two of the biggest stars of Tamil cinema, Thala Ajith & Thalapathy Vijay had a massive face-off at the box office as their respective films Thunivu & Varisu released amid a lot of fanfare. As the two films released and received similar critical reception, fans were waiting with bated breath to see which superstar takes the bigger start at the box office. Both the films opened to bumper response & recorded huge numbers.
